Song Jae-rim Passed Away Today (Nov 12th) at Age 39, A 2-page Handwritten Will Was Found
According to Newsen on Nov 12th, actor Song Jae-rim was found deceased this afternoon. He was 39 years old.
According to a Korean media outlet, Song Jae-rim was found dead at an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and a two-page handwritten will was reportedly found at the scene.
A police official stated, “So far, no evidence of homicide or other criminal activity has been found.” The deceased’s family told Yonhap News, “We would like to hold a small, private funeral,” and did not comment on the exact cause of death.
The deceased’s mortuary was set up at Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Home.
The coffin will be borne out on Nov 14th at noon.
Born in 1985, Song Jae-rim rose to prominence in 2012 with MBC’s drama “Moon Embracing the Sun”. He went on to star in various dramas such as “Cool Guys, Hot Ramen”, “Inspiring Generation”, “Two Weeks”, “Goodbye Mr. Black”, “Unkind Ladies”, “Our Gap-soon”, “Surfing House”, “I Wanna Hear Your Song” and “Queen Woo”. He also appeared in films including “Grand Prix”, “The Suspect” and “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations”. Most recently, he took to the stage in “La Rose de Versailles”, which concluded on Oct 13th. His final work, “My Military Valentine”, was released on the OTT platform Rakuten Viki in June.
He also made a strong impact in variety shows, showcasing his charm on numerous programs, including “We Got Married”, “House Cook Master Baek” and “Sixth Sense”. He received the “Best Couple Award” at the 2014 MBC Entertainment Awards and the “Special Acting Award, Actor in a Serial Drama” at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards, demonstrating his versatility across different fields.
Song Jae-rim was rumored to be dating Kim So-eun several times. However, their management companies consistently denied these rumors.
